Jose Manuel Flores Moreno, commonly known as Chico, is a Spanish football player who currently features for the Premier League club Swansea City. He plays as a central defender.
Chico developed at the youth academy of his hometown club Cadiz and was on their books until 2008, after which he moved to Almeria. Two years later he was on the move again, this time to Italian outfit Genoa.
However, Chico failed to impress in Italy and return to Spain at the start of the 2011-12 season, playing for Real Mallorca that season on loan. He was impressive for the Islanders that campaign, featuring in 33 league fixture either as a right-back and as a centre-back. Chico helped Mallorca finish eighth in La Liga.
In the summer of 2012 Swansea paid Genoa £2 million to sign Chico, as he reunited with his former Mallorca coach Michael Laudrup.
