Joao Miranda de Souza Filho, commonly known simply as Miranda, is a Brazilian football player who currently features for the Spanish football club Atletico Madrid. He plays as a central defender.
Miranda commenced his professional club football career at Coritiba in 2004 and after one year moved to French club Sochaux. He played for team for a season before joining Brazilian giants Sao Paulo.
Miranda found his footing at Sao Paulo and featured in 128 league matches for the Brazilian giants over the next five years, scoring four goals.
