Martin Montoya is a young Spanish football player who currently features for the Spanish and European giants Barcelona. He plays as a right-back and is rated as a one of the most promising young players in Europe.
Montoya joined Barcelona’s youth academy, La Masia, at the age of nine and progressed through the ranks. He played for the Barca B team between 2008 and 2010 and established himself as one of the best young defenders in Spain.
Montoya made his debut for the first team on February 26, 2011 against Real Mallorca in a 3-0 away win in La Liga and has played for the Blaugrana from time to time. He is now firmly part of the first team and is said to become a regular in the coming yars.

Montoya has represented Spain at the Under-17, Under-18, Under-19, Under-21 and Under-25 levels and also played once for Catalonia.
