Marc Bartra is a young Spanish football player who currently features for the Spanish and European giants Barcelona. He plays as a central defender and is rated as one of the most promising young players in Europe.
Bartra commenced his footballing career in the youth team of Espanyol and after one year joined Barcelona’s famous La Masia youth academy in 2002. He was promoted to the Barca B team in 2009 and was on the team until 2012.
Bartra made his debut for the first team on February 14, 2010 when he was just 19 years of age, coming on as a substitute in the Blaugrana’s 2-1 defeat to Atletico Madrid at the Estadio Vicente Calderon. He was part of the team that won La Liga in 2010, 2011 and 2013, Copa del Rey in 2012 and the Champions League in 2011.
