Álvaro Borja Morata Martín was born on October 23, 1992, in Madrid, Spain. The Spanish striker stands 190 cm (6 ft 3 in) tall.A prolific goalscorer at the youth level, he has developed into one of Europe's most traveled and decorated forwards, having played for top-tier clubs across Spain, Italy, and England.
Career
Morata launched his professional journey with Real Madrid, debuting for the senior side in 2010.After lifting the 2013–14 UEFA Champions League trophy, he transferred to Italian giants Juventus, where he secured domestic doubles in consecutive seasons. Real Madrid exercised their buy-back clause in 2016, leading to a successful campaign where he won La Liga and another Champions League title. In 2017, he moved to the Premier League, signing for Chelsea in a club-record deal.
He returned to Spain in 2019, joining Atlético Madrid initially on loan before making the move permanent. A second loan spell at Juventus followed, where he added the Supercoppa Italiana to his collection. In 2024, Morata signed with AC Milan but spent the following year on loan at Galatasaray, winning a domestic double in Turkey, before joining Como on loan later in 2025.
Internationally, Morata achieved significant success with Spain's youth teams, including a victory at the 2013 UEFA European Under-21 Championship.
