Víctor Ruiz Torre is a Spanish football player who currently features for the Spanish giants Valencia. He plays as a central defender and is considered as one of the most promising young players in Europe.
Ruiz initially started his youth football development at Barcelona before moving to Cornelia and eventually Espanyol. He was part of Espanyol B for two years between 2008 and 2010, but made his debut for the first team on December 6, 2009 when he started in a 4-0 home defeat to Racing Santander in La Liga.
In January 2011 Ruiz left Espanyol after making a total of 37 league appearances to join Italian giants Napoli. Napoli paid the Barcelona outfit €6 million, but at the end of the season they sold him to Valencia, who gave the centre-back a five-year contract.
