Mike Rodriguez

Mike Rodriguez is a professional football player who is currently known for being a midfielder of Barcelona Sporting Club. Rodriguez was born on April 20, 1989 in Guayaquil, Ecuador, and is known to be one of the youngest top players of Ecuadorian football together with Michael Arroyo, Fernando Guerrero, Felipe Caicedo, Jefferson Montero, and Jefferson Pinto.

One of the moments of note in the career of Rodriguez was when he appeared in an international competition when he joined the South American Youth Championship in 2007. A year later, Rodriguez made waves when he scored a double when they went against Deportivo Quito. This move sealed the deal for Rodriguez, making him an indispensable asset for the club.

It can be said that Rodriguez practically grew up in Barcelona Sporting Club because his youth career was founded on the very same club. Rodriguez enjoyed his time with the Barcelona youth team and spent three years playing with the team. His first time to play together with the senior team was in 2006.So far, Rodriguez has made 68 appearances with Barcelona, and scored 8 goals.
