Thomas William Cleverley, or simply known as Tom Cleverley, is an England international football player who currently features for the English and European giants Manchester United. He plays as a midfielder and is rated as one of the best young players in Europe.

Cleverley initially started his footballing career with Bradford City when he featured in the youth academy between 1998 and 2000. Thereafter he joined Manchester United and progressed in the Red Devils’ youth system.

In 2009 Cleverley was sent on loan to Leicester City and then to Watford in 2009-10. The following season the Englishman played for Wigan Athletic again on loan, scoring four goals in 25 league appearances.

Cleverley was drafted into the United first team for the 2011-12 season and proved to be a valuable addition to the squad, his qualities and calibre in midfield helped the Red Devils finish second in the Premier League. The following season he continued to impress at Old Trafford and helped Sir Alex Ferguson’s side win the Premier League titie.

Cleverley represented Great Britain at the 2012 London Olympics and his impressive performances saw England coach Roy Hodgson hand him his senior debut against Italy in a friendly international on August 15, 2012 that the Three Lions won 2-1.
