Phil Younghusband is a Filipino-British footballer who plays for the Philippine National Football team. Younger brother to fellow Azkals member James Younghusband, Phil Younghusband also played for local football teams in England before being called out to play for the Azkals. Born on August 4, 1987, in Ashford, Middlesex, England, Phil has been playing for the Chelsea Football club since he was 9 years old and turned professional in 2005. He was the top scorer in the 2003-2004 season and by the 2005-2006 season he played for the reserve team, making 21 appearances and 18 starts, as well as scoring 5 goals. In 2007, he signed with Esberg fB, a Danish club and was on loan for the club for the rest of the 2007-2008 season, returning to Chelsea in January. After his contract with Chelsea ended in 2008 Phil moved to the Philippines.

Phil spent two years unattached to any football club betweeen 2008 and 2010 altough he continues to play with the Philippine national team. He played for the Phillipines in the under-23 squad in the 25th SEA Games. He also played with the seniors Philippine National team, as well as in the ASEA N Football championship. Phil most recently played with the Azkals in in the AFC Challenge Cup pre-qualifying playoff against the Mongolian Blue Wolves in Bacolod, where the Philippine team emerged victorious with a score of 2-0.
