Alberto Rivera

Alberto Rivera is a Spanish international footballer who currently features for the Spanish club Real Betis. He plays as a midfielder.

Alberto Rivera came through the youth ranks at Spanish and European powerhouse Real Madrid and made his senior debut for the Castillion club at the tender of 17 against Celta de Vigo in the 1994-1995 season and scored a goal too. That was supposed to be his only match for the senior side as he was not considered good enough to play for Real in the long run.

Rivera signed for Levante in the summer of 2002 after stints with Numancia and Marseille. Levante were then in the Segunda Division in Spain. In the summer of 2005 after three impressive seasons, he was signed by Real Betis for 3.4 million euros and made 34 league appearances for Betis that season combined with appearances in the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Cup. He is now a regular for Betis.
