Diego Forlán Corazoimage:Diego Forlán Corazo |Diego Forlán Corazo is a Uruguayan football player who presently plays for Atletico Madrid, a La Liga side along with the Uruguayan national team. A striker, Diego was born in a family of football players, with his father, Pablo having played for Uruguay in 1966 and 1974 FIFA World Cups and his grandfather, Juan Carlos Corazo, having played for Independiente team in Argentina.

His major teams include Independiente from 1997 to 2002, Manchester United from 2002 to 2004 and Villarreal CF from 2004 to 2007. So far, he has made 69 international caps and scored 29 international goals. His first international match was against Saudi Arabia in 2002.

Whilst with the Manchester United team, Diego won many titles. The team won the Premier League in 2002–03, the FA Cup in 2003–04 and the FA Community Shield in 2003.

When playing for the Villarreal team, his team won the UEFA Intertoto Cup in 2004.

With the Atlético Madrid team, he won the UEFA Europa League in 2009–10 and the UEFA Super Cup in 2010.

Individually, Diego won many titles too. These are the EFE Trophy in 2004-05, the European Golden Shoe twice in 2004–05 and in 2008–09, and the Pichichi Trophy twice in 2004–05 and in 2008–09. Diego won the 2010 FIFA World Cup All-Star Team and the 2010 FIFA World Cup Golden Ball.
