Egidio Arévalo Riosimage:Egidio Arévalo Rios |Egidio Arévalo Rios is a Uruguayan football player who plays for C.A. Penarol team and also with the Uruguay national football team. Previously, Egidio played for San Luis and Monterrey team in the Primera Division de Mexico.
This combative central midfielder played his first game with the Bella Vista team in 1999 and stayed with the team for seven seasons. After his successful performance at the FIFA World Cup in 2010, it was announced that Cagliari Calcio and Penarol teams had reached an agreement for Rios to play in the Sardinian Club, but later, this was not confirmed.
The major teams that he was an active player are Bella Vista (2002-06), Penarol (2006-07), Monterrey (2007-08), Danubio (2008) and Real San Luis (2009). Till date, he has made 13 international caps and his first international match was with Venezuela team in 2006.
With the Paysandú Bella Vista team, Egidio made 35 appearances and scored 5 goals from 1999 to 2001. Whilst with Bella Vista team from 2002 to 2006, he made 108 appearances and scored 6 goals. Similarly, he made 29 appearances and scored 6 goals for C.A,Penarol and 32 appearances and 3 goals for Monterrey team. Apparently, Egidio played for Danubio and made 24 appearances.
