Simon Elliott
Simon John Elliott is a former Fulham and presently plays for the New Zealand International team. He even played for the San Jose Earthquakes in the Major League Soccer in 2009. Standing five feet eleven inches tall, Simon has so far made 66 international caps and 6 international goals, his first international debut being with Singapore in 1995.
Known as one of the most senior and the most valuable players by Ricki Herbert, All Whites coach, Simon has had a great glittering football career. He still offers tremendous midfield skills despite being in his mid thirties. More often, he plays as a defensive midfielder and has a sharp eye for goal.
Simon is armed with a wealth of football experience and has played for many reputed football teams. From 1980 to 1989, he was with Waterside Karori team after which he joined Wellington College from 1989 to 1992. With Stanford Cardinal team, he played for one season only, from 1997 to 1998.
His senior career started in 1992 with the Wellington United team. However, he made 27 appearances and scored 14 goals for Wellington Olympics from 1993 to 1995. Other teams for which he played for include the Miramar Rangers, Western Suburbs, Boston Bulldogs, Los Angeles Galaxy and many others.
