Mark Nelson Paston is a New Zealand football player who presently plays for the Wellington Phoenix in the A-League. The six feet five inches goalkeeper began his senior career years with a team named, Napier City Rovers, prior to moving to the United Kingdom in 2003 to join another team, Bradford City. Later on, he moved to Walsall and St Johnstone team, before moving to New Zealand to join the New Zealand Knights.

The teams that Mark was a part of include the Napier City Rovers (1997-2003), Bradford City (2003-04), Walsall (2004-05), St. Johnstone (2005-06), New Zealand Knights (2006-07) and Wellington Phoenix (2007 onwards). When playing for the Napier City Rovers, he made 135 appearances and for Bradford City, he achieved success playing in 13 games. Other than that, he made 9 caps for Walsall and 2 caps for St. Johnstone. For New Zealand Knights, he made 10 appearances and for Wellington Phoenix, he made 28 appearances.

Mark is considered as the best goal keeper of the New Zealand national football team by many viewers. He has played in all of the FIFA World Cup qualifiers of New Zealand team and in six of the eight qualifiers in the present campaign.
