Milan Baroš is a professional Czech player who is best known for being the current striker of Galatasaray, a club in Turkey as well as for being a member of the Czech national team. Baroš was born on October 28, 1981 in Czechoslovakia, and has been known for achieving the highest total number of goals in the Turkish Super Lig for the 2008-2009 seasons.

A winner of the Golden Boot awarded at the UEFA Euro 2004, Baroš played extensively during his youth, playing with clubs such as Vigantice, Roznov p. Radhostem, and Banik Ostrava. It has been said that Baroš was raised to play well for FC Banik Ostrava, and by 1998, he made his move from Team B and into Team A of Banik Ostrava.

During his early years as a professional football player, Baroš developed well an became one of the best goal scorers of the club. In fact, he was the winner of the Talent of the Year award as well as the Czech Footballer of the Year for 2000.

After his years in Banik Ostrava, Baroš joined Liverpool in 2002, and was awarded the number 5 jersey. His debut happened later that year, making his first game in the champions League one that ended in a tie with Barcelona.

Throughout his career, Baroš has also played in other clubs such as Aston Villa, Lyon, Portsmouth (on loan), and his current club, Galatasaray. In addition, Baroš has also played for the Czech national team since 2001, where he has made 78 caps so far and 38 goals.
