Kostas Katsouranis or Konstantinos Katsouranis is a Greek football player who plays for the Greece national football team and also for the Panathinaikos FC team. As a defensive midfielder, Kostas has so far made 72 international caps and almost 8 international goals.
Some of the teams that he had played for include the Panahaiki team from 1996 to 2002, the AEK Athinai team from 2002 to 2006 and the Benfica team from 2006 to 2009. At six feet in height, Kostas was only 17 when he made his debut in the 1996-97 season for Panachaiki team. Having spent six seasons with this team, he moved to Panathinaikos team.

Till date, Kostas has won many awards, honors and titles. Whilst with the Benfica team, his team won the Portuguese League Cup in 2008-09. With the Panathinaikos team, the title victory was the Super League Greece in 2009–10 and the Greek Cup in 2009-10.
When playing for the Greece national team, Kostas and his team won the European Championship in 2004.
Individually, Kostas won the title of the Greek Footballer of the year in 2005 and in 2008-09, he won the award of being the Benfica Footballer of the year.
