Claudemir Jer'nimo Barretoimage:Cacau soccer|Cacau soccer, nicknamed as ‘Cacau’, is a Brazilian born German football player playing as a striker. The teams that he represents include VfB Stuttgart in Bundesliga and the German national team. After receiving the German citizenship in February 2009, he made his international debut in May that year, against China in a friendly match. He even played in the 7-2 victory against the UAE team and played the entire second half of the match as a substitute replacing Lukas Podolski.
Part of the German national team at the FIFA World Cup in 2010, Cacau was born in Mogi das Cruzes in Brazil. Though he was born in Brazil, he was never called up by the Brazilian national team.
He scored his first international goal for the German team in the group stage of the 2010 FIFA World Cup in 2010 as a substitute against Australia. He scored in 1 minute 52 seconds and made 4-0. In the World Cup match, the German team played against the Uruguay team on 10th July, 2010, when Cacau started for the team, though he got subbed out. The Germany team won over the Uruguay team by 3-2 taking third place at the South African World cup match in 2010.
