Avraam Papadopoulosimage:Avraam Papadopoulos |Avraam Papadopoulos is a Greek football player who at present plays for Olympiacos FC and also for the Greece national football team as a central defender. Standing six feet two inches tall, this defender is quite tall and fast with good tackling techniques.

He hails from Australia and is one of the three members of the Greece team, others being Loukas Vyntra and Sotiris Ninis, to have been born outside the country. Some of the teams for which he played professional football are Aris (2003-08) with 95 appearances and 14 goals, Olympiacos F.C from 2008 onwards, making 57 appearances and 2 goals and for Greece under 21 team from 2002 to 2008, with 9 appearances. From 2008 onwards, he is playing for Greece national football team and till date has made 22 appearances.

He has been selected for Greece under 21 team for many times. He impressed the Greece coach, Otto Rehhagel, after which he was called to the Greek national football team. This was his debut in 2008 in the victory match against the Czech Republic team. By 2010, Avraam started playing for Greece at the World Cup 2010.
