Branko Ilič is a Slovenian international footballer who currently features for the Spanish side Real Betis. He is a versatile footballer who can play either as a central defender or as a right back.
Branko Illic made his professional debut for his Serbian giants Olimpija Ljubljana in 2001 (since he was born in Ljubljana) and played for them until the summer of 2005, making over 50 appearances. He was then signed by NK Domžale and in January 2007 was offloaded on loan to Andalucian giants Real Betis.
Betis decided to sign him on a permanent basis in the summer of 2007 for 1.5 million euros and he has been making good progress in his first season at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.

Branko Illic is considered as one of the best Slovenian footballers and was also the first from his nation to play for Real Betis. He has featured in 27 international matches for Slovenia.
