Will Juan Mata join Manchester United?

Juan Mata could be on his way to Manchester United before the week is up as the Red Devils are planning a 40 million pound bid for the Chelsea player of the year.

Mata is known to be disillusioned with life under Mourinho, who has more often than not left the Spaniard on the bench. With the World Cup approaching and the talent at the disposal of Spain’s head coach, Mata is reportedly desperate to be playing as he looks to force his name into the final squad of 23 for the World Cup later this year.

A move to Manchester United is seen as the perfect marriage at the present time as the player needs guaranteed playing time and the club need a bit of flair and stardust in order to reboot their campaign.

There is a strong chance that we will see Mata as the next Manchester United number 7 in the coming weeks as David Moyes is eager to break the bank and make a club record signing.

Another player who has been attracting the attention of the Red Devils is Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani.

The former Napoli man is reportedly frustrated playing second fiddle to Zlatan Ibrahimovich at Paris Saint Germain and Laurent Blanc has reportedly told Sir Alex Ferguson that the club’s Qatari owners may be open to do business during the summer window.

It is also being reported that PSG have made a move for in form Newcastle and France midfielder Yohan Cabaye.

The figure that is being dangled in the media at the present time is 21 million pounds. This looks like a move that could happen seeing that PSG’s Blaise Matuidi is yet to agree a new deal at the club with his contract up at the end of the season.

West Ham United’s move for Lacina Traore seems to have gone west with Everton stepping in for the tall striker.

Although work permit issues will need solving, there is a fat chance that Traore will sign on loan at Everton for the rest of the season with an option to make that move permanent at the end of the year.
