Nemanja Vidic could be signed up by Galatasaray

It has emerged that Nemanja Vidic is a summer target for Turkish giants Galatasaray. The team which is currently coached by former Manchester City coach Roberto Mancini is believed to be one among the many clubs in Europe who are vying to sign the Serbian on a free transfer this summer.

Vidic’s signing would be a huge signal of intent on the part of Galatasaray as they already have the likes of Didier Drogba, Wesley Sneijder, and Burak Tilmaz on their books.

Meanwhile United scout Robbie Cook has been reportedly looking at Villarreal central defender Mateo Musacchio as United look to replace the likes of Vidic and Rio Ferdinand, who has suffered quite a sensational dip in form this season under David Moyes as United’s season goes from bad to worse.

The Argentine defender has also been watched by the likes of Barcelona and Juventus for a while now. United have also been linked with a fresh bid for Benfica’s Ezequiel Garay and with the Argentine’s contract up at the end of next season, a move could materialize for the floundering Red Devils.

Juventus false nine Sebastian Giovinco has been touted as a possible target for the Gunners this week as Arsenal look to add a striker to their books with Olivier Giroud the only recognized attacker in the team.

Serge Gnabry, meanwhile, has attracted the interest of Borussia Dortmund as Arsenal brace for a sizeable bid for the German hotshot.

Roberto Martinez is thought to be pondering whether to sign an extra central defender in order to push for fourth place this season.

The blue side from Merseyside clearly need another solid central defender to cover for Phil Jagielka and Sylvain Distin and it has been reported that Martinez has been hot on the heels of Espanyol centre-back Hector Moreno.

Jose Mourinho has pushed the boat out as he looks to sign Nemanja Matic from Benfica.

Mourinho clearly believes that this was a player that got away and is an answer to Chelsea’s problems in the holding midfield area.

Matic has been in brilliant form for Benfica for a couple of seasons now and although a move is not on the cards until the summer at least, Chelsea are certainly looking determined to land their man.
