Barcelona vice president Carles Vilarrubi has labelled outgoing Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho as a ‘scourge for Spanish football’.
Mourinho’s time at Real Madrid will come to an end at the conclusion of the season, with the club’s president Florentino Perez confirming the news on Monday.
“I can speak out now. Mourinho has been a scourge,” Vilarrubi told Catalunya Radio.
“Seeing him leave is a positive thing for Spanish football in my opinion because he had created a negative atmosphere.”
Mourinho has spent three seasons at the Santiago Bernabeu, guiding Real to the 2011-12 La Liga crown.
