West Brom have lost each of their last two fixtures but they’ve not done much wrong in either and can pick up at least a point at Norwich on Sunday.
The Baggies will finish the Premier League season inside the top half under boss Steve Clarke and it has been an excellent campaign for the Scot and his team.
The fear is that sides with little left to play for, such as the Baggies, are likely to coast towards the end of term but there was little evidence of that last time out from West Brom.
Clarke’s men were excellent at Manchester City, despite going down to Edin Dzeko’s strike at Eastlands, and a trip to Carrow Road will be much more to their liking.
A 3-0 win in their previous away trip at Southampton also suggested they are not done with just yet and West Brom are superior to Norwich in just about every department.
The victory at St Mary’s was West Brom’s fifth on the road this season, not a bad return at all, and they now face a side in desperate form.
It was a fabulous start to life in the Norwich hot seat for manager Chris Houghton but just two triumphs in 19 matches has seen the Canaries plummet.
Only three points now separates Norwich and Wigan in the Premier League relegation zone and the pressure is very much on with just two matches remaining.
I expect the Latics to succumb, they have given themselves an awful lot to do, and a point would probably satisfy Houghton despite a final day trip to Manchester City looming large.
Consecutive defeats to Stoke and Aston Villa have revealed Norwich’s limitations and whether they can produce when it matters most is debatable.
At the prices, no bigger than 2.25 with the bookmakers, I certainly want to oppose the hosts and a West Brom win would not surprise one bit.
