Juventus are staring down the barrel when they welcome mighty Germans, Bayern Munich on April 10, 2013 at the Juventus Stadium.
Bayern Munich will be very high in confidence as they have been crowned as Bundesliga Champions with a few weeks to spare as they have managed to create an unassailable lead over the rest of the teams in the league.
Both the teams are in immense form having won five of their last six games. One of those victories for Bayern was a 9-2 mauling of Hamburg in the league. What should worry the Juventus players a little more, is that Bayern have lost only one game this calendar year.
Juventus enter this game with a 2 goal deficit after losing 2-0 at the Allianz Arena. Earlier in the group stages, Juventus overturned as two goal deficit against Chelsea drawing that game 2-2. One away goal from the Germans will be enough to wrap the tie up.
Juventus will miss Stephan Lichtsteiner as he was booked in the previous game and will be forced out to serve his suspension. Gianluigi Buffon, Andrea Barzagli and Giorgio Chiellini should all return to first team action boosting the defence of the Italian champions.
Upfront in the number nine position, Mirko Vucinic should be play as he has fully recovered from an illness. Sebastian Giovinco is set to miss the match after being stretchered off over the weekend. His absence will have to be filled by either Fabio Quagliarella or Alessandro Matri.
The Germans will be without Toni Kroos whose place will be taken by Javi Martinez. Arjen Robben and Frank Ribery will also start on the wings with Mario Mandzukic expected to start upfront after being rested over the weekend.
Predicting this game between the two giants is tough. We could probably be starting at long night, with this game going into extra time with Bayern coming out on top in extra time.
