Former Ballon d’Or winner Kaka is hoping to be part of Brazil’s 2014 World Cup squad after winning a recall last week from Luiz Felipe Scolari.
Scolari, who guided Brazil to the 2002 title with Kaka one of his key players, recalled the midfielder who has struggled for regular game-time this season at Real Madrid.
“It’s been a while since I’ve seen ‘Big Phil’. It’ll be great to meet up with him once more and to work with him again,” Kaka said.
“I don’t know how long that’ll be for, but I hope to play at the World Cup in 2014.”
On his club situation, the 83-times Brazil international added: “I think that things are getting better for me, above all at my club.
“I’m playing more often at Madrid. The supporters are showing that they appreciate me and that is an extra motivation.
“Now I hope to make the most of this chance with Brazil.”
