Juventus boss Antonio Conte has angrily slammed the behaviour of hostile Bologna fans after the Old Lady moved 12 points clear in Serie A with a 2-0 win at Stadio dell’Ara.
Second-half strikes from Mirko Vucinic and Claudio Marchisio earned Juve another vital three points on their way to the Serie A title.
There were claims from Bologna that Conte’s post-game celebrations were over the top, but he hit back, slamming the hostile reception his side received upon their arrival in Bologna.
“Can’t I even celebrate with the fans after such a victory? I know it might annoy some people when we win but there was no disrespect,” he told Sky Italia.
“And let’s discuss more serious matters – people who welcomed us with stones and sticks, people with children in their arms shouting obscenities.
“These people should be ashamed, not me. If we’re leading the Scudetto race I don’t see why I should not celebrate with my fans.”
