Paris Saint-Germain boss Carlo Ancelotti has fuelled speculation about a possible move away from the French capital after admitting the Real Madrid coaching position would be hard to turn down.
The Italian revealed earlier in the week there was a clause in his PSG contract, whereby if they failed to finish in the Ligue 1 top three this term, he wouldn’t have the final year of his contract activated.
PSG aren’t likely to miss the top three, but the revelation fuelled rumours of a possible Ancelotti departure and his latest comments about the Real job, with Jose Mourinho under pressure, have added to the speculation although he insisted he’s happy in Paris.
“I don’t think there is a single coach in the world who could say no to a club like Real Madrid,” Ancelotti told TVE.
“It would be very difficult to turn something like that down. All I can say for now, though is that I am happy at PSG at the moment.”
Le Parisien recently reported Real Madrid president Florentino Perez contacted Ancelotti prior to Christmas to offer him the Real job when Mourinho leaves.
