Arsenal have confirmed former Manchester United winger David Beckham will train with the Gunners but have ruled out a contract for the former England international.
The 37-year-old recently decided to leave Major League Soccer club Los Angeles Galaxy and has been linked with a host of clubs including QPR, West Ham, Monaco, Paris Saint Germain and AC Milan.
However, Arsenal have distanced themselves from any move for Beckham, stating he is only training with the club to improve his fitness before a potential move.
“There’s no speculation about signing or anything,” Gunners boss Arsene Wenger told reporters when asked if he might sign Beckham.
“He has not done anything for a long, long time. He has asked to come here and to work on his fitness.”
Beckham, who hasn’t played since Galaxy’s MLS Cup triumph over Houston Dynamo in December, has said he has no idea who his next club will be.
