The month of January is a very volatile month for football as the mid-season transfer window opens. Players who do not fit in, into the plans of the managers or those who haven’t been able to cope with the speed of the game are usually offloaded during this month.

Today is the day of the David’s, a couple rumours that catch the eye are David Beckham probably going back to AC Milan and David De Gea to replace Victor Valdes at Barcelona.

David Beckham has spent a few months in 2009 and 2010 with the Italian outfit on load during the off season of the MLS League. He made a total of 29 appearances for AC Milan scoring on two occasions. Even though he is aged 37, he is still has the stamina and skill to play in the top flight. During his first medical at Milan back in 2009, the medical staff had told him he is fit enough to play for another five years, till the age of 38.

As the board members have dealt with him in the past and he has played there before another short contract for Beckham would do wonders for the young crop of players upcoming at Milan. The presence of Beckham would teach a lot to the budding footballers at AC Milan. What are the chances of this signing taking place, it seems grim. The actual source of the rumour is, “La Gazzetta dello Sport.”

There are loads of rumours flying around of Victor Valdes being unsettled at Barcelona as the player and the club are unable to settle on a new contract.

There are rumours floating of Liverpool looking to sign Victor Valdes in the summer and David De Gea maybe his replacement.

Manchester United’s 20 million pound signing in 2011 has not been as impressive. He has made just 58 appearances for the team. David De Gea is a goalkeeper with immense talent but has not been able to cope with the challenge the English Premier League gives him. Many games have gone by where Lindegaard has filled his boots in goal for Manchester United.

Victor Valdes has always played second fiddle Iker Casillas at the international level, but is a very good keeper in his own right. Weather this will end up happening we will have to wait and watch.

What are the chances of this signing taking place, it is close to impossible. The actual source of the rumour is, “Daily Star.”

On the other hand one of the latest transfers that have definitely taken place is that Queen Park Rangers have snapped up Loic Remy from French club Marseille. Remy was all set to join Newcastle but Harry Redknapp’s QPR came from behind and swooped up the singing of the player.

The singing was done for a club record fee of 8 million pounds and he is eligible to make his debut against West Ham United over the weekend. He is surely in for a heck of a ride as his team has a lot to do with a long drawn relegation battle up ahead, in the coming few weeks.
