Germany coach Joachim Low is expecting a challenge from an Austria which is its strongest in years in a packed Tuesday of 2014 World Cup qualifiers around Europe.
The Germans recorded a comfortable 3-0 victory over Faroe Islands in their opening group game on Friday, with Mesut Ozil hitting a double, but Low knows the Austrians represent a much tougher task.
“The Austrians are stronger than they have been for years,” he said. “They will want to make our lives far from easy.”
Elsewhere, there’s several other high-profile clashes on Tuesday including England playing host to Ukraine, while the improving Belgium host Croatia and the Euro 2012 failures Netherlands are away to former powerhouse Hungary.
Traditional European giants Italy host Malta, Spain go to Georgia, France entertain Belarus and Portugal welcome Azerbaijan.
