League leaders Real Madrid and defending champions Barcelona will both be in action this Sunday evening at the Spanish league which also has a couple of other exciting matches involving Villarreal and Valencia.
Barcelona have had a bad season so far and have managed to go adrift of Real Madrid by 10 points in the race for top spot. The Catalans will face a tough test when they head to the capital to take on Atletico Madrid, who are in good form at the moment and a major threat with Radamel Falcao on the pitch.
Barcelona will have the likes of Iniesta, Messi, Fabregas, Busquets, Alexis Sanchez and Pedro to start with and are much superior in quality with all respect to Atletico. However, Atletico are dangerous at home and are playing good football as a unit at the present time. I would not be surprised if they manage a result.
Real Madrid have toiled hard to be where they are this season in the La Liga. They lead the tables by 10 points and will look to keep the difference alive when they travel to face Rayo Vallecano at home. The likes of Angel di Maria, Gonzalo Higuiain, Karim Benzema, Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka and Mesut Ozil should prove to be too much to deal with for Vallecano and I expect Real to get a good result on Sunday night.
Villarreal will be up against a highly motivated Athletic Bilbao outfit that is brimming with confidence. They have some wonderful attackers in the form of Fernando Llorente and Muniain while the presence of youngsters Ander Herera and Javi Martinez makes them a formidable outfit that is certainly capable of great things.
Villarreal have some great players in their lineup too with Gieseppe Rossi, Nilmar, and Marcos Senna some of the greater influences. They have a good team and are really good at home. Bilbao can be sure of a tough game and I expect this one to tilt to the visitors when the 90 minutes are up.
In the other big game on Saturday night the Mestalla will play host to the match between home team Valencia who welcome Sevilla.
Valencia are the better team without a shadow of a doubt with the likes of Tino Costa, Roberto Soldado, Pablo Hernandez, and Ever Banega in the lineup. However, Sevilla are no pushovers and have signaled their intent when they resigned local boy Jose Antonio Reyes from Atletico Madrid in the last transfer window.
