Rafael – 8 The Brazilian football had a fantastic match against Bolton as he put in a perfect shift that would delight Sir Alex. Was extremely dangerous going forward and did not shirk defensive responsibilities either as he made a couple of decent blocks that helped United earn a clean sheet.
Evans – 7.5 This man is prone to making at least one error in every game that he plays in. However, there was no such trouble against Bolton as the young Northern Ireland defender turned in a near perfect shift and completely outshone his defensive partner.
Ferdinand – 7 Did not make any major mistakes this time around thankfully for United. This man has shown that he could be a liability for the team in the past three matches, however, he made his experience count against Bolton and played quite well.

Valencia – 8 Although he did not have a goal or any assists to show, Valencia was a livewire against Bolton. He tormented his opponents on the right wing, cut in from the right on several occasions and even made a run down the middle. Carrick – 8.5 Michael Carrick really rolled back the years against Bolton. This man has clearly got into his groove this season. Dominated opponents with intelligent passes and broke up play well. Hit a number of awesome through balls and his strike late in the second half capped a brilliant display.

His goal for United minutes before half-time gave them all the impetus that they needed to shine. It was a typical late run and a good strike past a stranded ‘keeper that earned him the goal. And a Fairy Tale return to the Theater of Dreams.
Nani – 6.5 Nani did not play all that bad and was threatening at times. He gets zero for selfishness and even worse for his poor crosses.
Welbeck – 9 The man of the match for United, Welbeck was a clear and present danger for Bolton. They simply could not contain this lad, who could have had more goals had he taken his chances. His injury after scoring the second goal was worrying though. Here’s wishing him a quick return to action.
