The player exodus from FC Barcelona continues. This time it is the veteran French defender Lilian Thuram who is taking leave of the Blaugranas.
According to the French sports newspaper L’Equipe, a deal between Barcelona and French side Paris Saint Germain. The paper reports that everything has been settled among the three parties involved in a meeting in Paris and only the player’s signature remains to be scripted on the contract papers.
Lilian Thuram joined Barcelona from Italian giants Juventus in the summer of 2006 when the Old Lady of Turin were relegated to the Italian Serie B because of match-fixing but the former French international defender hasn’t been too prolific in his two seasons at Camp Nou.
PSG are eager to strenghten their squad with top class performers and have an ambitious plan to sign veteran French stars to launch a serious challenge for UEFA Champions League spot next season.
