The Netherlands players might have gone home after their 3-1 extra-time defeat to Russia in the quarter-finals in Euro 2008 on Saturday night but it appears that Rafael van der Vaart would be heading towards England before long. The SV Hamburg playmaker has been one of the top performers in Europe for long and it appears that the English fishermen are now taking notice.

A price of 15 million pounds would be enough to convince the former Ajax Amsterdam youngster to leave Hamburg and run aboard the English Premiership. He joined Hamburg from Ajax in the summer of 2005 and has spread his name everywhere in Europe.

It’s been reported that Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool are are eager to import the 25-year old who has the looks of a movie star. Man United are ready to take him onboard since they are almost going to lose their star winger Cristiano Ronaldo while Chelsea would certainly like and sign fresh players. Liverpool though are the weak link in the whole equation as the asking price could be something beyond their financial capability.

Anyway, Van der Vaart is a world class footballer and he is certainly going to be huge hit in the Premiership.
