It has been reported that Samuel Eto’o, the striker from Inter Milan is considering a move into the English Premier League during this transfers season.
The 30-year old Eto’o from Cameroon, who currently leads the national side, is one of the best African players of all time – having won the African Player of the Year award on four separate occasion, including 2010.
Eto’o has three years of his contract remaining and while The Cameroon star, who has three years remaining on his contract, had said that he wanted to remain with Inter Milan, having won the Coppa Italia for the side by scoring a couple against Palermo. However, he has also said that he would like to consider the alternatives that he has.
Speaking to a website he said, “I am currently considering my options. I have one month to decide as to whether I want to stay put or choose to move to the Premier League.”
He cited that he was 30 and it was vital for him to think through what he signed now given that it was going to be his last contract. He added that he had done his best while playing in the Serie A and would now like to prove his worth at the English Premier League.
Eto’o, who also played for Barcelona, earlier in his career, has been discussed having talks with Chelsea and Arsenal earlier in his career as well.
