At long last Premiership giants Arsenal have signed the budding young French talent Samir Nasri from French powerhouse Olympique de Marseille for a reported 12 million pounds. The 20-year old French international who played a fringe role for France in this summer’s Euro 2008 competition has now been finally transferred to the Emirates.
Samir Nasri is often compared to the French legend Zinezine Zidane as much as for his style as for his talent. He has been speculated to move to Arsenal since the middle of the 2007-2008 season and although a couple of clubs also barged into the equation, it has now been made certain that Arsene Wenger does manage to get one more young blood in his already youngster-filled squad.
Nasri has been a key performer for Marseille for the past two seasons and is said to be a huge star of the future. He shall be reportedly on a 2 million pound a year contract for the next five years at the Emirates.
