Madrid’s win in France led them to winning the group and qualifying for the knockout stages of the Champions League and coach Pellegrini says that things are improving for los Blancos.
The Chilean told AS:
“We could have finished first [in the group] with a draw, but we won, we scored three goals and produced a solid performance. There is little difference between how we play at the Bernabeu and how we do away. We never surrender the initiative to the opposition.
“We knew in October and November we would play six or seven games each month. In December, however, there are fewer games and it is easier to repeat the lineup.
“We still have to improve and we will do so in January and February, because our elimination from the Copa del Rey has left us many weeks off.”
