Inter Milan veteran Javier Zanetti has expressed his delight after coming away from Ukraine with maximum points in their Champions League game on Wednesday night.
Inter were 1-0 down against Ukrainian champions Dynamo Kyiv in a crucial Champions League match on Wednesday until the last five minutes of normal time when they scored twice, first through Diego Milito]and then through Wesley Sneijder. The Nerazzurri are now top of their group and need three more points to progress to the last 16 stage.
Speaking to TMW after the game, Inter star Javier Zanetti said:
“I always believed that Inter deserved this victory. We started well, but then Dynamo found an avenue to goal and everything was all of a sudden made difficult. But we always believed in the win, knowing what damage we could do.
“What did we say during the break? To always believe in ourselves, because the match finishes when the referee blows the whistle three times, and the goals at the end demonstrate this.
“Now, our attention will turn to the league, and then at Barcelona, where we can play for a draw, at least.”
