Inter Milan defender Marco Materazzi has expressed his apprehension that Juventus could dethrone them in Serie A this season.
Juventus are currently third in the table, two points behind leaders Inter, and for the first time in three years have a strong squad that is deep and is almost complete. Inter, on the other hand, are struggling to find creativity in the midfield and Materazzi believes that Juve could give them a run for their money this season.
The World Cup winner told Sky Sports:
“It’s difficult to play against Genoa because they play very well, but I hope to obtain the same result as last year against them, it wouldn’t be bad.
“With regards to Inter, I think that changing a lot of players makes it difficult to find the right amalgamation. Even the other teams are not finding it easy in results and continuity.
“Juventus were scary even last year, because I think that they are a strong team who never gives up. They can give us a hard time and they have great quality, therefore we will be fighting for the Scudetto against them until the end.”
