Reports from Germany indicate that Bayern and Madrid have struck a 25 million euro deal. Robben shall now leave the Bernabeu and move to the Allianz Arena and it is reported that Franck Ribery, whom the Spanish giants have been chasing for much of the summer, shall move in the other direction in the 2010 summer.

Robben himself has acknowledged the move and has revealed that he did not want to leave and that the club wanted him to do so.

The former Chelsea player has been quoted by Marca as saying:

“I didn’t want to go, but the club wanted to sell me. There have been many lies, but at the end of the day I have to decide what’s best for me, because I want to play and to show [everyone] the footballer I am.”
