Former Arsenal goalkeeper Jens Lehmann has announced his retirement from professional football.

Lehmann is currently playing for German Bundesliga club VfB Stuttgart and has decided that he will hang up his boots at the end of the current campaign.
The German goalkeeper has started his professional club football career at Scalke 04 and moved onto AC Milan, Borrusia Dortmund and then Arsenal.
Lehmann left Arsenal for Stuttgart in 2008 and has now declared that he shall retire from football at the end of the 2009-2010 campaign. Lehmann is 39 years of age.
