Madrid initially wanted 27 million euros for the 25-year-old they signed from Dutch giants Ajax in the summer of 2007 but Italian champions Inter Milan were not ready to pay that amount. Instead, the Nerazzurri were reportedly eager to sign the player on a one-year loan deal.

La Gazzetta dello Sport now reports that Madrid would be ready to accept 15 million euros for the player. Madrid have 28 players on their books but that number has to be brought down to 25. So three first-team players have to be offloaded and one of them seems to be the Dutch international playmaker.

Inter desperately lack a creative midfielder and Sneijder fits that bill perfectly.
