Spanish giants and European powerhouse Real Madrid have made it clear that they are not planning to offload midfielder Fernando Gago this summer.

Gago’s future has been uncertainty since the end of last season and with the arrival of Xabi Alonso from Liverpool in the summer there are serious concerns on the Argentine international’s place in the Madrid unit.
Moreover, with Madrid able to register only 25 players for the upcoming La Liga campaign and with the club having 28 first-team players at the moment, many thought that Gago would be one of the players who would be sold this summer.
Madrid, though, have dismissed such reports. The club’s sporting director Miguel Pardezahas been quoted by Sky Sports as saying:
“There is no way that Gago will be sold any time soon.”
