Spanish and European champions FC Barcelona are still hoping to prise Arsenal star Cesc Fabregas from the Emirates this summer, according to latest reports.

Fabregas was with the Barcelona youth academy until he was 16 when he decided to move to Premier League club Arsenal. The Spanish international has since made marvelous progress and is now considered one of the best midfielders in the world.
Barcelona have made no effort to eclipse their desire to have Fabregas back and with Arsenal’s barren seasons it has become more probable that Fabregas is tempted to move to Camp Nou.
Barcelona sporting director Txiki Begiristain has been quoted by *Marca *as saying:
“It depends on how much we want to spend. If we spend a lot of money it could be. We don’t know how much. We haven’t asked Arsenal. If we believe the value is excessive we won’t try.”
