Spanish international defender Alvaro Arbeloa is on the verge of joining Spanish powerhouse Real Madrid after passing his medical test on Wednesday.
The former Deportivo la Coruna fullback has been linked with a move back to the Bernabeu this summer and it appears that an official announcement is imminent.
Real Madrid announced on their official website that Arbeloa has passed his medical test. He undewent the test at the Sanitas La Moraleja on Wednesday morning.
Arbeloa was signed by Liverpool from Depor in 2007 and had one more year on his current contract with the Premier League giants. The exact transfer fee between Liverpool and Madrid has not been revealed but it is reported to be between 3 million and 4 million euros.
