Chelsea midfielder Florent Malouda has signed a contract extension with the club that will now see him stay at Stamford Bridge until 2012.
Malouda has signed a three-year contract extension at Chelsea that will now see the French international winger stay a Blue until the end of the 2011-2012 season. The former Lyon star had decided to pen a new contract last month and has now formally signed the contract extension.
Malouda told the club’s official website:
“We agreed during my holidays and I have signed now I’ve come back. I am really happy because it shows a mutual trust between the club and myself and for me it is just the beginning of the story.
“The last six months especially I was feeling great. Plus we won a trophy that was really important to me. I feel really good and you can see it on the pitch and I hope we get more trophies.”
