Brazilian left fullback Maxwell has become a Blaugrana player as he completed a move from Italian champions Inter Milan to Spanish and European champions FC Barcelona.
Maxwell has been at Inter Milan since 2006 and has developed into a world class left-back. But last season he was dislodged from his place by teenage prodigy Davide Santon.
The 27-year-old has now been signed by Barcelona for a reported 4.5 million euros. He becomes the sixth Brazilian defender to play for Barcelona and expressed his delight to BarcaTV.
Maxwell said:
