Premier League cashbag Manchester City are now trying to sign Dutch international winger Arjen Robben from Spanish and European heavyweights Real Madrid, according to reports.
The People reports that Manchester City are now trying to lure Dutch winger and former Chelsea star Arjen Robben to the Eastlands. Robben is one of the best wingers in the world but his place at Real Madrid has come under some scrutiny after he was apparently told by Madrid director-general Jorge Valdano that he has no place in the team anymore.
Man City are already in talks with sign the Cameroonian international striker Samuel Eto’o and are likely to land Argentine international striker Carlos Tevez too this summer.
Robben has also been linked with a move to English champions Manchester United, although there have been reports suggesting that the 25-year-old does not want to leave the Bernabeu.
