Bayern Munich striker Luca Toni has expressed his desire to return to the Italian Serie A.
Toni’s injury problems made his level drop last season in the Bundesliga and his under par performance for Italy at the Confederations Cup has made many believe that he is finished.
But the former Fiorentina striker says that he wants to return to Italy and play top flight football there to prove his critics wrong. He told Sky Sports:
“I would really like to return to Italy. Inter? For the time being they are just rumours and no contact. I would be ready to reduce my salary in order to return to my country.”
