Guti Not For New Signings

Real Madrid supporters might still be basking in their La Liga triumph but the club are already looking forward towards next season.

Real Madrid supporters might still be basking in their La Liga triumph but the club are already looking forward towards next season. A host of major new signings are in the offing as wonted with the biggest and most successful club in the world but not all the players want new faces next season.

Real Madrid veteran Guti is one player who doesn’t feel the necessity to add reinforcements next season. The 31-year old bit-part Spanish international midfielder has played pivotal role in Real’s title conquest this season and insists that the same bunch can progress to a higher level next season.

Guti says:

“It’s a great satisfaction. We worked hard all year to get this reward.

“The whole squad is very much involved with the project. The cycle that we started with Schuster couldn’t be going any better.

“New signings? We could move for two or three players, but the team’s base is already complete. There won’t be ‘cracks’ in the mould of Zidane, Ronaldo, Figo… but great players.”

But somehow Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon must have planned along different lines. The point is that a plethora of major signings will storm into the picture in the summer!
